@Banjo, that's a well known bug, not because of chromium and, or gtk2 but ArchLinux's latest gtk2 and, or libjpeg.so.* :(

PROTIP: Edit the libgnutls13 PKGBUILD and change the url from ftp://ftp.gnutls.org/pub/gnutls/ ... to ftp://ftp.gnutls.org/pub/gnutls/attic/ ...

Just a hint: Use --password-store=detect if you want to enable kwallt or gnome-keyring. For permanent setting: export CHROMIUM_USER_FLAGS="--password-store=detect" in profile setting or .bashrc

@OttoA Plz check and star issue http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=30288 I never ever tested chromium from extra, but there were roughly 10+ PKGBUILD's lurking around here when I submit this heavily refined and, or improved PKGBUILD for repackaging chromium, but from untested, unstable and, or daily builds either ppa or google-build bot.

Sadly, I can't really use it with the jpeg bug. I don't know if this is a related issue, but on reinstalling chromium from extra, the chromium icons aren't displayed properly in gnome.
