New/updated PKGBUILDs/Tarballs based on PPA builds are temporarily available at http://werc.homelinux.net/hacks/linux/ Plz try: chromium-browser-ppa-*.src.tar.gz chromium-browser-inspector-ppa-*.src.tar.gz chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra-ppa-*.src.tar.gz and optionally: chromium-browser-l10n-ppa-*.src.tar.gz I may/shall also submit the same to AUR on receiving feedback.

@OttoA Thanks for the patch, fixed and updated chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra-ppa-0.5.50002-2.src.tar.gz The crashes related upload/select jpeg files is known, upstream developers suggested compile/build it from source on ArchLinux; a drudgery I hate for a beta, unstable and, or version under heavy development.

Running chromium-browser with the option: --password-store=[kwallet|gnome], Chromium will use the system password storage system (Kwallet or Gnome-key-ring) to store your password, moving the existing to it.

pkgrel=19: update; added dependency 'libgnutls13' Though, I have added above dependency, but I think, it is time to switch using PPA builds; as those seems much more compatible with latest installed ArchLinux libraries. Hope we can/shall get rid of unwanted 'libgnutls13', 'libjpeg6' and 'libpng12' also. I Shell try build/re-package and test PPA builds this week and announce the results ASAP.

@xifs, @bintang I searched for the libgnutls13 weirdness and found a defect report at the Chromium site. I updated it to included that Chromium-50317 doesn't work on Archlinux. Follow the report here: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=46954
