I installed these fonts a while ago and it started to mess the text of many evolution emails. Not sure if it is problematic for other mail clients. Uninstalling the font solved the problem.

Maybe they start to be deprecated ? If this is the case this should be indicated here under legacy packages: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Microsoft_fonts

I don't want the splits to show up. They don't help anyone and splits would change the functionality of the package from the original. Anyone wanting the international fonts can get them packaged in two different ways. A standard split package can't do that. If you want a split package for your AUR helper, don't! This package cannot and should not be installed with an AUR helper.

No it's not, it's a fake split package. Otherwise ttf-win7-fonts-japanese would be visible in the AUR too.

It is a split package. See _opt_Build at the top.

Why this package is not a split package (like ttf-ms-win10)?

I am getting the following error during installation: ==> Starting build()... Extra fonts: *.tt[fc] Any missing files must be supplied and editing of the PKGBUILD may be required. Edit the PKGBUILD for instructions and changes. The necessity for user intervention makes this PKGBUILD not compatible with 1 step package installers like packer or yaourt. ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build ttf-win7-fonts.

The one font you got is the one that can be downloaded. The rest of the fonts must be supplied by you. Copy scripts are available to help get the fonts from a running Windows or through a network. You can also get the fonts from a CD.

Hi all, I'm having two obstacles getting around. 1st. is this: Unable to find 81 font(s) I set the _opt_SkipMissing to 1 and/or 2 and came to 2nd. which is: .../PKGBUILD: line 1355: _extracted_ttfs[0]: unbound variable After some search found this: - _fontsout+=("${_extracted_ttfs[@]}") + _fontsout+=(${_extracted_ttfs[@]+"${_extracted_ttfs[@]}"}) and finally managed to build this pkg but... with only 1 font inside. A little help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Andale downloads fine for me. Likely a temporary problem with SourceForge.
