As a bug, which may be with this package, or may be with coreutils itself: if you have commit.gpgsign = true set user-wide in your git configuration, the tests will fail.

MrMuffin: By default, makepkg checks the gpg signature of downloaded tarballs using a key which is specified in the validgpgkeys array (c.f. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Makepkg#Signature_checking). You need to import the key with gpg --recv-keys 6C37DC12121A5006BC1DB804DF6FD971306037D9 before running makepkg (or use option --skippgpcheck).

Hi. I'm getting the next: ==> Validating source files with md5sums... coreutils-8.27.tar.xz ... Passed coreutils-8.27.tar.xz.sig ... Skipped ==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg... coreutils-8.27.tar.xz ... FAILED (unknown public key DF6FD971306037D9) ==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build coreutils-selinux. so I can't install the package :/

felis: I can reproduce your test failure, which is due to a difference in the output of command "TZ=America/Lima date --debug -d @1". tests/misc/date-debug.log shows (expected vs. output): -Wed Dec 31 19:00:01 PET 1969 +Wed Dec 31 19:00:01 -05 1969 I guess this is due to the recent upgrade of glibc to 2.25-1. coreutils 8.27-1 is currently in staging and will comment the "make check" command (https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/coreutils&id=dd4b43f35446088e4fcd88a1ace4f8e1dcc96213). Therefore I removed the "make check" command from the PKGBUILD.

Getting FAIL: tests/misc/date-debug Partial log http://pastebin.com/uiUMgPe9 Any suggestions? It did ask to report to bug-coreutils@gnu.org with the full log.

Okay, thank you. I will report this upstream.

IooNag commented on 2015-04-18 01:42 (UTC)

Emil: coreutils test suite applies root:object_r:tmp_t:s0 to a directory and in your case this fails with "chcon: invalid context: root:object_r:tmp_t:s0: Invalid argument" (cf. http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/coreutils.git/tree/tests/mkdir/restorecon.sh?id=e0afeb0099c899c2caa7453072e2d223d8f0ceb9#n27 ). As far as I understand, this is an upstream limitation, which expects to be able to change any context in the test suite even though this may not be allowed if there is a policy loaded in enforced mode. Moreover it only supports MLS policy (because of the :s0 part of the context), which makes the test suite also fails hard on system with a non-MLS policy. Could you please report this upstream? (for example at http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=coreutils). A nice solution might be to skip the test if "chcon 'root:object_r:tmp_t:s0' subdir" fails in tests/mkdir/restorecon.sh. Anyway building with makepkg --nocheck should succeed.

Thanks for the info. I'll update this package as soon as possible.
